Project Proposal Specialist

Summary:

This position is responsible for developing quotations for new product designs, reverse engineering designs of obsolete Instrumentation and Controls, as well as mechanical and pressure boundary items used in nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities:

Quoting, which includes preparation of detailed proposals for various projects in reverse engineering, custom designed control systems and safety instrumentation for the nuclear market.
Performing a detailed technical review of customers’ requests for quotations.
Providing technical support and recommendations for quotations based upon this review, ensuring quotations and documentation are performed within the defined standards and procedure guidelines which meet all of the customer specifications.
Communicate with the customer on a technical basis to clarify information provided in order to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of complex specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data necessary to properly complete the quote.
Provide technical interpretation and clarification of schematic drawings, mechanical drawings and specifications pertaining to a business proposal.
Work with Microsoft Project Management to establish business opportunities.

Qualifications:

A post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering and/or technical diploma in electrical/electronics technology along with 5 to 7 years related business experience in the Nuclear Industry.
Familiar with Analog and digital process instrumentation control.
Strong understanding of product knowledge in power control systems and safety Instrumentation for the nuclear industry.
Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities as well as interpersonal and organizational skills are a must.
Must have a strong customer service focus and the ability to work well within a team working towards targeted deadlines.
A strong command of the English language spoken and written.
