DP289 Differential Pressure Switch
Description:
The Model DP289 indicating differential pressure switch from Lisle-Metrix is a direct replacement for the ITT Barton Model DP289. The Model DP289 offers the same great functionality of the traditional Barton instrument with improvements in accuracy and construction over the legacy unit.
The DP289 is comprised of two component units: the actuating differential pressure unit (DPU) and the indicating switch. The DPU compares the difference in pressure between high-pressure and low-pressure input connections; through the use of a proven bellow design. Variations in the differential pressure result in the bellows to expand or contract in a linear direction toward the side having the lowest pressure. This linear movement translates into a rotation of the torque tube shaft, which is coupled with the actuating cam of the indicating switch, and results in the pointer travel across the scale plate.
